Protolane started when we got tired of software that is clunky, slow and resource-intensive. How is it that developers in the early days could build so much functionality in such a small resource constraint to create technological wonders like Doom, but today is all about quickly delivering *something* to turn it into a quick cash grab so desperate that building a UI involves embedding a browser? After asking this question to ourselves we set off to create Stacks — a messenger, voice calling, screen sharing, team communicating app focused solely on its performance, and our first project ever.
